Will come to pick you up at your accommodation, if you are staying in Positano we will drive through the Sorrento Peninsula. Overlooking the hills you will find the promontory of Punta Campanella that ends in a tourquase sea and seems like touches the isle of Capri, covered with beautiful orange and lemon trees, and it’s covered by the always green and lush mediterranian maquis. You then arrive in Pompeii, one time a beautiful and thriving Roman city, destroyed by the Vesuvio in ’79 a.d., whose ruins recently come to light and are now fixed destination of turist from all over the world. The visit to the escavation, whose entrance ticket is 13 euro per person, can either be made by our private guide every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., or by the main gate you will find an audioguide rental station. The visit to the ruins starts from Porta Marina, the main entrance, that will bring you to Via Marina, excellent sample of Roman architecture, filled by fountains, buildings and private beautiful homes In which you can admire wall paintings depicting various episodes of the daily life. Continuing the via Marina, you arrive at what was the centre of the commerce and political life: the Forum. From here you can easily reach the major buildings and monuments such as: the house of the Fauno: which takes his names thanks to a bronze statue at the Faun; the house of Vetti owned by the Vettius brothers, the richest wine merchant of Pompeii; le Terma Suburbane, le Terme Stabiane and the Villa dei Misteri which is one of the most beautiful roman villa where are conserved the most high artistic frescos. The visit will last at least 2-2 1/2 hours after we will be returning to Positano.
